EDUCATION PROGRAM MANAGER
We are seeking an individual with a visionary outlook and expertise in early childhood development, particularly focused on working with children in their early developmental stages.
Prioritizing dedication to fostering social-emotional skills, positive identity, persistence, self-belief, and internal motivation in children, we are looking for a candidate who can nurture these qualities within an afterschool community.
Our ideal candidate will be committed to creating an inclusive afterschool environment that values diversity and celebrates each child's uniqueness.
Proficiency in cutting-edge teaching methods and techniques, especially for children from communities where they may experience Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), is essential.
Additionally, we require someone who comprehends the complexities of oppression within marginalized communities and can develop trauma-informed materials, classes, and safe spaces for children.

Contract Duration: Annual Contract i,e, extendable on performance
Probationary period: 3 Months
Responsibilities:
Needs Analysis and Program Design
Develop and implement trauma-informed curricula in the areas of STEM, Arts and the Social Sciences for children aged 4-15 coming from marginalized communities
Develop and use a mix of approaches to supervise and motivate teachers and other staff who nurture the learning abilities of primary school children.
Stay up-to-date with pedagogical theories and developments in education.
Create, implement, monitor and evaluate educational programs to ensure learning objectives are met.
Create a learning platform with a mix of technology, art, and engagement strategies.
Ensure that Education staff have work-plans in place and follow up with team members regularly to ensure that activities are on track.
Lead program-wide curriculum development with the help of teachers.
Develop long and short-term goals with objectives and outcome measures for each program and communicate them to all staff.
Education Staff Management, Mentorship, and Development
Responsible for recruitment, hiring, certification and professional development of teachers, coordinators and support staff
Program Management
Prepare and manage the annual program’s budget, and ensure the program meets the children’s social, emotional, educational and health needs.
Closely evaluate results at the end of each quarter and write up progress reports.
Identify areas of improvement and provide training and professional development for new and existing teachers.
Network and build professional relationships with parents, teachers and children.
Be able to mediate information and needs between parents, teachers and children.
Application Requirements
An understanding of ACE and trauma-informed approach to teaching and learning with children
A high-level understanding of the concepts of learning including the theories of multiple intelligences and learning styles.
A working understanding of the axes of marginalization and their intersections in India including but not limited to, caste, indigeneity, class, gender, sexuality
A passion and drive that inspire a love for learning & the ability to engage children in learning activities in a fun and interactive way.
Ability to analyze information, evaluate options and to think and plan strategically.
Ability to write clear and well-argued assessment and project reports.
Politically and culturally understanding with sensitivity to social contexts of our students
Fluent in written and spoken English and Hindi.
Familiarity with Indian EdTech, proficiency in Google Workspace, and experience in fundraising and grant writing.
Academic Qualifications
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education with 5 years of relevant experience.
Previous experience of managing an Education team
A working knowledge of the EdTech space in India
Proficiency with Google Drive and Google Workspace (G Suite) Tools.
